Haruka Nanase X Reader ~Thanks to Makoto~ [One Shot]

"THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!" Shouted Rei.
"But it's true. I saw them, I seriously saw them a while ago." Said the still shocked blond boy.
"Then I guess Gou was right..." Makoto had an apologetical look on his face.
"Of course I was right." Added the said girl.
"But why didn't he tell me?" Makoto was still insure, even after hearing out Nagisa.
"Mako-chan, what do you mean? Aren't we his friends as well?" Nagisa felt insulted by Makoto's words.
"N-No, I didn't meant it that way, Nagisa. I meant that Haru and I've know each other many years and we are best friends..." Said Makoto, having a sad expression of the thought of Haru not telling him such a secret.
"Maybe... It was very embarrassing for him to say." Added Rei.
"Makoto, don't worry about it. I'm sure that he trusts you... maybe he wasn't ready... But I'm sure there is definitely a serious reason for not saying anything." Gou got interrupted by the door of the rooftop of the school being opened.
"Haru!" Makoto jumped up by Haru's sudden appearance.
"Haru-chaaan!" Nagisa ran up to him and start to shake Haru by his arm. "Why didn't you tell us that you have a girlfriend?" He whined pretty loudly.
"Nagis-" Haru tried to talk, not minding the fact that his friends, somehow, knew what he wanted to notify them of.
"Don't you trust us anymore?"
"Wait, it's no-"
"Haru is there a reason you didn't tell us you are dating our class president?" Makoto joined Nagisa  and start to shake Haru by his shoulders.

Gou ran up to the three guys and separated them, letting Haru to speak.
"Go ahead Haru-kun." Said Gou, acting all serious.
"There was a reason for not telling you...-" Haru began but got interrupted by Gou this time.
"See Makoto?" She turned to look at the boy she referred to. "He had serious reason."

Haru without waiting continued.
"It was a bit complicated... We had confessed our feelings but we weren't actually dating. I can't explain it." Haru looked them straight in the eyes. Gou once again turned to look at Makoto.
"... Forget the serious part." Makoto laughed before letting a sigh of relief.
"Good to know that you trust us. I got all worked up for nothing." Haru only looked away without saying a word.

Nagisa start to jump up and down congratulating Haru and then start to lively chat with Rei about having a new friend and maybe a new member in the club.

~Time Skip~

Later on, when the classes ended, Nagisa and Rei hurried up to Makoto's and Haru's class, so Nagisa could show Rei the girl that Haru, now, was dating.
As kids start to exit the classroom, Nagisa spotted the young girl that was still in class, gathering her stuff.
"Look Rei-chan, there she is!" He whispered, pointing are her.
Rei's yes widened as he, as well, spotted a young girl with (h/c) (h/l) hair and shimmering (e/c) eyes.

Makoto and Haru were in the classroom as well and they seemed to argue about something. After a while Makoto pushed Haru near the class president and said his goodbye's to them, since they had no swim practice that day. As Makoto exited the classroom he spotted his two friends and jogged up to them.
"Makoto-Senpai! Nagisa and I thought that it would be great to invite you, Haru and his girlfriend to go eat outside all together." Said Rei, pretty nervous of the thought of meeting such a beautiful lady that stole his mysterious friend's heart.
Makoto scratched his head and laughed.
"How about tomorrow? We still have no practice tomorrow. For today I want them to stay a bit alone, that's why I told Haru to escort (Y/n)-san home."
Nagisa pouted and sighed right after.

~Haru's P.O.V.~

As we exited the school gates the setting sun was visible. I was pretty nervous for walking (Y/n) home. She seemed so relaxed... I wish I could be that relaxed.
"Hey Haru." I immediately looked up when her voice reached my ears. "You mentioned that you and Makoto are good friends. How long have you know each other?" Here eyes were glued on the sky.
I couldn't hold back a small smile. "We've know each other for our entire life." She looked at me with surpise in her eyes, it was very visible. "I was only a few months old when I first met him." She smiled widely and laughed.
"Wow, that's so awesome!" She looked up ahead our way but her smile changed to a sad one. "You know... I had a friend from my first years of life too. We were best of friends for many years... But one day I noticed that she's slipping away from me pretty quickly. We had that common friend that invited both of us and other girls out for a walk. I knew those girls but they weren't my friends."
As she spoke her smile disappeared and mine as well. "So the day we went all out I saw that my best friend was very close to them and I obviously was left out. After a bit I had asked her why she wouldn't be by my side and she said that since I wasn't experienced in boys we didn't had many things in common anymore... So now that I have a boyfriend that I really love is she going to be my friend? What do you think Haru?" As she said my name I stopped walking. She stopped as well and looked at me.
"... I think that you have to forget about her. She is a terrible friend." Her eyes sparkled, probably with shock. After her story my heart shrunk in pain and I wouldn't want her to get hurt from her old friend again.

After a few seconds she approached me and hugged me with a wide smile on her face.
"Thank you, Haru. You are so smart." Her hands tighten around me as I felt something hot on me. I realized that this sudden hot sensation was a tear. I hugged her back without thinking much.

As she pulled back she whipped her tears away and smiled. I grabbed her hand, intertwining our fingers, and we both made our way to her house.

When we arrived outside her house she suddenly hugged me once more. I was about to hug her back but the door of her house opened and her father, as I assumed, was standing there. She pulled away and smiled at him.
"Hi dad." She greeted him but her face wasn't that happy, I could see the fake smile. Her father on the other hand was happy to see her, as he hugged her.

After I introduced myself (Y/n) asked him to go inside.
"Idiot..." She snapped.
"You don't like him...?" I asked even though I was sure that she didn't.
"No. I hate him a whole lot. He is very annoying giving me commands to do stuff I don't want to." She said with a really bad mood now.
"I'm sorry for that." I said not really knowing how it feels but I got the picture.
She smiled at me and grabbed my hand. "Don't be it's okay... besides I don't see why you apologize since you have nothing to do with it." She giggled and got closer to me. "By the way, thanks for today. You should get going." I nodded at her words even though I didn't felt like leaving her there.

She suddenly pecked my lips and smiled. "Have a good night, Haru. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Yeah, you too. See ya." Her hold on my hand disappeared. I turned around and walked slowly. I looked back and she was still there. She smiled at me and the got in her house.

As I walked I looked up in the sky as she likes to do. I sighed and a small smile cracked itself on my face without me noticing. I guess Makoto did a good thing for forcing me to walk her home.
